Abstract

Innovation is needed to support the Arabic language learning process carried out online. One form of this innovation can be realized through the use of learning media. Learning media play a role in arousing students' motivation and enthusiasm for learning, which can ultimately improve their learning outcomes. This study aims to conduct a literature review on the use of Kahoot in Arabic language learning. The method used in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data were collected by documenting and reviewing all articles discussing Arabic language learning assisted by the Kahoot application published between 2018 and 2024. A total of 13 articles from accredited national journals, obtained from the Sinta and Google Scholar databases using the Publish or Perish application, served as the data sources for this study. The results of the study indicate that Kahoot can be used as one of the teacher innovations and assessments in the Arabic language learning process and can improve learning outcomes, motivation, and student effectiveness in learning Arabic.

Author Biographies

Ahmad Khoirur Roziqi, Institut Agama Islam Bani Fattah Jombang

Was born in Gresik on June 15, 2002. He completed his Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Arabic Language Education at IAI Bani Fattah Jombang in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Arabic Language Education at the Postgraduate Program of IAI Bani Fattah Jombang.

M. Yunus Abu Bakar, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya

Was born in Jombang on March 15, 1965. He is a permanent postgraduate lecturer at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Education (PAI) from IPD PMD Gontor in 1992, a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies from IAIN Sunan Kalijaga in 1997, and a Doctoral degree in Islamic Studies from UIN Sunan Kalijaga in 2007. He was awarded the title of Professor in Islamic Educational Philosophy at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya in 2024.

Baiq Tuhfatul Unsi, Institut Agama Islam Bani Fattah Jombang

Was born on August 4, 1979. She is a lecturer at IAI Bani Fattah Jombang. She earned his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Education (PAI) from IKAHA Tebuireng Jombang in 2002, a Master’s degree in Arabic Language Education (PBA) from UIN Malang in 2005, and a Doctoral degree in Arabic Language Education (PBA) from UIN Maliki Malang in 2021.
